New Jersey
May 6, 2020 UPDATE: On April 27, 2020, Governor Murphy announced “The Road Back: Restoring Economic Health Through Public Health,” which is a six-point plan with key metrics to guide the process for lifting restrictions and restoring New Jersey's economic health through public health. The full plan is available at https://covid19.nj.gov/faqs/announcements/all-announcements/governor-murphy-announces-%E2%80%9Cthe-road-back:-restoring-economic-health-through-public-health%E2%80%9D#direct-link. The plan does not yet include dates as Governor Murphy's stay-at-home Executive Order, which has been in effect since March 21st, will remain in effect in its entirety until further notice. The governor said that the state would begin opening state-wise, as opposed to regionally, in "weeks ... not months." He has appointed a Governor’s Restart and Recovery Commission to determine how and which businesses could come back online; more info on the Commission is available at https://nj.gov/governor/admin/restartcommission.shtml.
