May 5, 2020 UPDATE: The Governor has outlined a phased place to re-open the state. The state will be opened regionally and will be opened based on industry. Each phase will allow a two week period in between to allow for monitoring of effects. The first phase will include opening construction and manufacturing functions as long as such functions have low risk. The second phase will open industries based on priority and risk level, including professional services, finance and insurance, real estate and rental leasing, retail, and administrative support. Phase three includes hotels and accommodations and restaurants and food service. Phase four includes education, arts, entertainment and recreation.

April 6, 2020 UPDATE: During a press conference this morning, Governor Cuomo announced that his previous stay-at-home order, which required all non-essential businesses to keep 100% of their workforces at home, would be extended through April 29, 2020. The Governor also indicated that schools would remain closed through the same date.

April 1, 2020 UPDATE: Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Executive Order (known as NYS on Pause) has been extended through April 15, 2020. In-person workforce restrictions have been extended through that time. The Governor has advised that they will continue to evaluate the program on at least a bi-weekly basis
